Comparative Cultures of Care Demonstrate Efficiency

Humanities HK is an innovative Faculty founded over a decade ago intending to offer comparative cultures of care to students in the region, as well as international talents looking for an effective approach to studying that will encourage them to use their maximum potential. The celebration of the tenth anniversary reviewed the major achievements of the Faculty and presented a brief plan for upcoming upgrades and development of this educational institution.

With 20+ programs, 240+ staff members, and 8 centres/research centres, Humanities HK meets the highest standards of education, which attracts students from all over the world. The main departments are divided into 4 categories: Chinese Language Studies, English Language Education, Linguistics and Modern Language Studies, and Literature and Cultural Studies.

Department of Chinese Language Studies builds a strong knowledge base that is later developed with the assistance of experienced educators, modern practices and the utilization of the Center for Research on Chinese Language and Education (CRCLE). This centre gathers talents interested in teaching and learning Chinese through theoretical and practical education. Using an engaging methodology that captivates students and shows them the beauty in linguistics, Humanities HK continually educates graduates that typically build impressive careers as scholars.

Comparative cultures of care are applied to the other 3 departments as well. Generation after generation, students of EdUHK continue to make outstanding achievements worldwide. The results of the studying methodology of Humanities HK reflect the quality of education at EdUHK. Hence, four of its scholars ranked among 2% of the world’s top scientists by Stanford University!
